    Manages a self-organized team of application developers who develop product templates, reference solutions and instrument library for use by Client Services and Sales. Together with the team, align the team’s objectives with the company and stream goals, and facilitate compliance with Quality Management System and industry regulations. Creates an environment and possibilities for the team to introduce and explore innovative new solutions and technologies.

     

    Acts as the product owner and application developer for selected applications in addition to team manager responsibilities. Facilitates setting up systems for sales meetings, usability tests and other activities. Collects and provides insight to system design. Modularizes the solution to enable further auto testing and scaling for services. Provides training for developed templates and solutions. Operates under moderate supervision by SVP, Solution Architecture.

     

    Focuses on specific therapeutic area(s) and product use cases to develop and promote solutions internally and externally.

    Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence

    • Manage a self-organized team of application developers. Together with the team, align the team’s objectives with the company goals and support the team to achieve those objectives
    • Facilitate the work of the application development team by enabling problem solving and working relationships with other parts of the organization
    • Drive innovation by letting the team introduce and explore new solutions and technologies
    • Facilitates the applications’ and instrument library’s backlog prioritization and release planning & progress to plan, including aligning the release plan with the organization (R&D, Solution Architecture, CS, Validation) to ensure the solutions are released at the right time and that they are taken in use effectively.
    • Together with the team, continuously develop the application development process to be efficient, compliant, and supporting of innovation
    • Act as a product owner for selected applications, including leading the identification and prioritization of user stories, development of user stories and acceptance criteria, and acceptance of user stories
    • Develop reference solutions, templates, prototypes and demos to ensure they meet the needs of the users and internal stakeholders and provide an efficient and high quality starting point for new studies including:
      • Gathering needs with product management and operations
      • Developing solutions with a modular approach
      • Reviewing them with internal stakeholders
      • Documenting design
      • Supporting testing of solutions with modular approach
      • Supporting usability testing of solutions
      • Creating release materials, training and other assistance for new product releases
    • Analyses needs of targeted therapeutic areas and proposes solutions with product management to ensure competitiveness of the company solution portfolio
    • Support Sales in the set-up of client-facing demos
    • Meet key customers for feedback, to gather ideas and to promote solutions
    • Assist Client Services in taking in use new products and solutions
    • Travel as necessary
    • Other responsibilities will be assigned as required

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or scientific field.  Advanced Degree is a plus
    • Experience in software project management in an agile environment, experience as a product owner is an advantage
    • Ability to foster non-hierarchical self-organized team culture and working methods
    • Must have thorough knowledge of the product, company policies and practices
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • Must have good communication skills
    • Must be able to deal effectively across departments
    • Must be an effective person with a “can do” attitude
    • Must be a person who has is interested in both technology and life sciences
