  • Position Summary

    Localisation Team Leader - Iasi, Romania  

     

    Our tools are used by patients, careers and hospital workers, capturing information on individuals involved in the clinical trials.  The tool is tailored by our Application Specialists to meet each client's specific needs - language, fonts, formatting.  The role of the Localisation team would suit an individual with strong attention to detail, able to multi-task, and with a strong administration background.  Experience of Excel, Powerpoint and Word is essential as in an interest in technology, pharmaceuticals and medical research.

     

    The Localisation Team Leader manages, motivates and co-ordinates works on different Localisation tasks.  This office-based leadership role provides supervisory management of the Localisation Team within the Client Services (CS) organization

     

    You would be accountable for the successful delivery of localisation activities, meet key project milestones, whilst adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), CRF Health processes and regulatory compliance. 

     

    You and your team would maintain  a close working relationship with Delivery Teams and key stakeholder, ensuring our premier client requirements are met and that processes are aligned with CRF Health best practices and consistently applied.


    Key participant in process improvement activities, assuring adherence within the Localisation Team.

     

    Our company was founded in Finland in 2000. We grew to over 60 people and a Private Equity company became the major shareholder and with their input we grew to over 320 personnel by 2015.  At this point CRF Health was "sold" to Vitruvian. We have subsequently grown to over 650 permanent staff (320 in 2015, 420 in 2016, 530 in 2017) and operate in the UK, the US and Romania. Our R&D function in Romania consists for some 40 personnel and complements the excellence undertaken in Finland.

     

    And the story continues.....  In addition to eCOA (Clinical Outcome Assessments) CRF Health has recently added a new product to our offering TrialConsent™ which has been developed jointly in Romania and Finland. Vitruvian has recently entered into discussions with another private equity company, GenStar and we are in the process of having our ownership moved across to GenStar who in 2017 bought Bracket, another serious player in the eCOA and Clinical Trial space.  This deal will result in the merging of both company, with the new entity then becoming a 1500 person company.

     

    Our TrialMax® software platform is the market-leading eCOA (Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments) solution for clinical trials.     Responsibilities

    • Accountable for all translations within the Localisation Team – direct communication with Translation vendors
    • Support the planning for the localisation team including resource, workload and capacity management, forecast the resource needs for team based on the sales pipeline
    • Oversee day-to-day line management of the localisation team
    • Responsible for successful delivery of all localisation activities, ensure timelines are met to the required level of quality
    • Provide weekly status reports, highlighting risk to Associate Director of Localisation
    • Work closely with Associate Director, Project Delivery Team Managers to ensure cohesive and consistent delivery
    • Acts as point of escalation for delivery for resolution of issues and conflicts within the team
    • Provide leadership in problem solving, defining the solution through to implementation
    • Support the hiring of new staff for the Localisation Team (UK & Romania), ensuring staff are trained and on boarded effectively, assign mentors as required.
    • Responsible for personal development of team members and performance management activities and 1:1s
    • Create an environment with good morale and a strong work ethic, minimizing staff turnover
    • Ensures adherence and compliance to the company’s Quality Management System by the Localisation Team members
    • Contribute to the strategy and support the implementation for process development and improvements
    • Supports Associate Director, Project Delivery in strategic planning and direction
    • Flexibility to assume other duties as requested

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business, IT or other relevant experience
    • Must be office-based
    • Experience managing teams in a project based environment is preferred, including recruitment and personnel management activities
    • Must have an understanding and experience in the pharmaceutical industry and clinical trial process
    • Should understand the software life cycle and the specification and configuration of software products
    • Proven project execution track record with a strong attention to detail
    • Must be able to direct activities of a team, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing company’s revenues
    • Must have excellent written, time management, communications, decision making, human relations, and organizational skills
    • Must portray a professional appearance and presentation to the customers
    • Must communicate and deal effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Must be a team oriented person with a “can do” attitude
    • Must have a strong problem solving ability
