  • Position Summary

    Master Scheduler (Project Planner) - Hammersmith


    The Master Scheduler has responsibility to manage forecast for long range resource planning considering workloads, lead times, project life cycles and work capacity. Supporting the Chief Operating Officer, the role includes establishing and reviewing planning rules and modifiers to drive Project Delivery. Your activities will include planning and monitoring the cost of projects, preparing schedules with inputs from various departments within CRF Health, and understanding the work and time involved in planning each activity. The Master Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring projects, and the resources (including people) required, through the complete life cycle.

    • Ownership of capacity plan
    • Inputs into strategic workforce planning
    • Ownership of master schedule
    • Responsible for global workload allocation
    • Compliance to the planning tools and processes

     

    Responsibilities

    Strategic

    • Identify and implement system and process improvements within project delivery, to enable overall business process improvement.
    • Further develop existing forecast and supply programs to improve timelines for project delivery considering resources available and authorized scope of work.
    • Improve our forecasting tools and procedures through application of innovative ideas and projects.
    • Analyse work levels and work demands on the Project Delivery teams to determine work levels utilization and capacity levels
    • Drive, promote and develop positive communication with Business Operations, Client Services and Project Delivery teams and departments to improve forecast accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain Forecast, master schedule and project delivery plans based on history, seasonality and sales opportunities.


    Tactical

     

    • Review and update forecast, project schedules and resource requirements.
    • Support new projects and proposed projects through cooperative scheduling of model introductions, end of life and prototype processing with the R&D team
    • Proactively review resource supply and demand to determine push/pull actions appropriate to impact Risk and Issues for successful project delivery.
    • Participate in the evaluation of quotations provided to existing and prospective clients to ensure all pertinent information is available to analyse for best possible price, quality and supply services to meet our strategic needs for the successful project delivery.
    • Coordinate and plan resource requirements for new projects, including review of current work loads and need for customer verification.
    • Work cooperatively with different teams in the business including  Business Operations, Contracts & Proposal, Project Delivery, R&D and particularly the Team Managers in Project Delivery. 
    • Ensure a robust Change Management, Change Control and Change Order process is in place and adhered to.
    • Assess impact to resource availability and delivery schedules from client sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for delivery over and above the original or initial plans.
    • Review resource shortages, and capacity planning to meet client requirements. Propose changes when needed,
    • Assist in the resolution of issues and planning discrepancies.
    • Work cooperatively to implement innovative efficiency programs.
    • Other duties as needed.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience with complex project planning, forecasting and product lifecycle programs.
    • Experience with Purchasing/Materials tools (MRP, Inventory analysis, part or supplier profiles etc). and the ability to apply these principles in the Project Delivery environment
    • Proven verbal and written communication skills required
    • Ideally a minimum of 5years of Master Scheduling/Production Planning experience
    • Accreditations/Qualifications in relevant topics – Project Management/MRP/MSP would be highly desired.
    • Experience in analysis and negotiation of costed pricing of materials to formulate a fair and ethical quote review.
    • Experience with Project Development and understanding of project life cycles very strongly desired.
    • Must have proven ability to work collaboratively with the wider company, while effectively handling internal pressures.
    • Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).
    • Organizational and problem solving skills required.
    • Strong analytical competency
