    Our Production IT team in Helsinki is growing and we are looking for a Database & System Administrator for full-time position.


    As a Database & System Administrator you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the database systems. Typical tasks include database systems operations, maintenance, monitoring and upgrading of system and application software. You need to be able to cope with different technical platforms and need to be able to prioritize your tasks.


    You will also participate in project work in various infrastructure development projects. Your role in these projects is providing technical expertise in design, setup and testing phase.

    Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence

    • Oracle and PostgreSQL DBA tasks for company’s database systems.
    • Production and system test environment set-up and maintenance.
    • Management of application hosting environment, this includes Oracle and PostgreSQL database servers running on Linux.
    • Network infrastructure set-up and maintenance for the production environment.
    • Managing and monitoring backups.
    • Managing database and database server storage.
    • Troubleshooting and solving database related issues.
    • Ensuring the conformance with quality management system.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

    • Relevant formal education and work experience in a similar setting.
    • Several years of Oracle and/or PostgreSQL experience.
    • Experience in building highly available database systems.
    • Knowledge about backup and storage systems.
    • Detail orientation and service attitude.
    • Must be a team oriented person with a “can do” attitude.
