    VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION - HAMMERSMITH, UK

    The Vice President of Business Transformation will lead our Business Transformation Office and drive our program of Continuous Improvement.  We are a successful, fast growing organization, leading transformational change in our sector.  As a result of recent growth we need to ensure that our processes are fit for purpose and continue to enable us to be customer-centric in our delivery.

     

    This individual will be tasked with building out a lean culture across the organization, working across broad and varied stakeholder groups, senior management, and virtual teams to help identify and drive improvements to current and future processes, as well as workflows and systems, with the goal being to create a measured, regular rhythm to the business and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

     

    This role is a unique and high-profile position within the organization, with an opportunity to create a step change in the way we deliver service to our customers. Working across the business, this individual will partner with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver complex, integrated projects with enterprise-wide impact that cross multiple organizational functions and locations.


    You will have two direct reports, one in the UK and one in the US.

     

    N.B. We are sourcing in both the UK and the US, this role could be based in either country but your remit will be across all the CRF Health locations.

    Responsibilities

    • Define, develop, and implement a consistent performance measurement program across the organization
    • Identify and analyse issues/obstacles to quality and delivery;
    • Define, implement, direct and continuously improve operational strategies, business plans, goals, core competencies and processes for operations to support overall company objectives
    • Define, develop, and maintain an internal knowledge base of consistent, repeatable best practices around governance and compliance
    • Provide executive visibility to issues, risks, and KPI progress
    • Supports large-scale enterprise-wide projects that incorporate a proactive and innovative solution to addressing business challenges and achieving organizational goals and objectives.
    • Manages and co-ordinates the CRF Change / Improvement portfolio, ensuring all activities are aligned to the businesses strategic objectives.
    • Consolidates, reports and governs the resulting benefits associated with the change / improvement portfolio, ensuring activities realise the targeted benefit on time and on budget.
    • Supports development of clear case for change, desired outcomes, accurate scope, clear roles and decision-making.
    • Gives advice and counsels leaders without owning the projects themselves in order ensure the steps, tracking and expectations are consistent.
    • Develops and owns the CRF improvement and operational excellence methodology, including suitable performance measurement and governance approaches
    • Leads and develops other members of the Business Transformation Office
    • Builds Operational Excellence capability across the organisational to support sustainable transformation
    • Supports initiative teams with skills in process excellence, project management, facilitation, problem solving, accelerating transformation and value creation to drive toward required outcomes. Surfaces capacity, pacing, resourcing issues and any other red flag issues needing leadership attention. Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communications. Ensures timelines are adhered to for initiatives by keeping executives aware of any red flags concerning the timing or integration process
    • Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiative efforts

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Life Sciences or Information Technology
    • 10 years of experience within an organization(s) delivering software and solutions to the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Clinical Care sectors,
    • Previous experience working in client facing environments is preferred
    • A successful track record of project delivery with a strong focus on the delivery of business benefits in a fast paced growth environment.
    • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and the specification of software products
    • Excellent leadership skills; ability to build, drive and motivate teams and virtual teams to achieve results; ability to influence and inspire action through strong decision-making skills
    • Possess managerial and leader courage; be confident managing risks and making decisions that will likely have a large impact on organization
    • Must possess a high level proficiency of the following skills:
      • Drive results under pressure
      • Excellent writing ability
      • Communication, including listening and public speaking
      • Presentation preparation 
      • Analytics and decision making
      • Time management
      • Formal Six Sigma training/accreditation is required, ideally Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Blackbelt accreditation.
      • Strong business judgment and ability to multitask and set priorities in a high-paced environment
    • International and domestic travel as required
